What Working Here Actually Looks Like
ShieldMee specializes in treatment-resistant cases, high-functioning adults, and families stuck in cycles that most practices refer out. Our clients have usually tried therapy before. They are skeptical, intelligent, and often frustrated. That means our clinicians need to be pattern-thinkers — not just validators.
We operate from an Adlerian and psycholinguistic foundation. Gottman-informed couples work. Socratic questioning as a clinical tool. You will be expected to sit with complexity, push back when appropriate, and document with precision. If your default is unconditional positive regard without challenge, this is probably not the right fit — and that is okay.
What we offer in return: real clinical supervision from someone who has worked high-acuity institutional and private cases, a mission-driven structure that puts dollars back into care (not shareholders), and a practice that takes its clinicians as seriously as it takes its clients.
Who We Are Looking For
- Registered interns or fully licensed clinicians (LMHC, LCSW, MFT) in Florida
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a significant plus
- Experience with or genuine interest in high-acuity, treatment-resistant, or forensic-adjacent populations
- Comfortable with structured, benchmarked treatment — not open-ended indefinite therapy
- Intellectually curious. You read. You question. You do not coast.
We are not looking for volume. We are looking for fit.
Step 1 — Start With the Assessment
Before you reach out, we ask that you complete our Vocational Interest Inventory. This is the same Holland RIASEC framework we use in career-focused clinical work. We use your results to open the conversation — not as a gatekeeping tool, but because how you approach vocational identity tells us something about how you approach clinical work.
It takes about 10 minutes. Be honest. There are no right answers for this position.
Vocational Interest Inventory (Holland RIASEC)
48 questions. Likert scale. Results appear immediately. Take note of your top two or three domains — you will reference them when you email us.
Take the Assessment →Step 2 — Reach Out Directly
No application portal. No recruiter. Email us directly at the address below. In your message, include: your license status, your top RIASEC domains from the assessment, one paragraph on why treatment-resistant cases interest you, and your availability for a 20-minute call.
We respond to every email that follows this format. We do not respond to generic inquiries.
admin@shieldmee.orgThis is an employment inquiry, not a client booking. Do not use this address to schedule therapy.
